One of the topics in Business Management that relates to our own personal lives is “Time Management”.
Have you ever heard this expression before? “I don’t have time to...”
An expression that is very common in our society now a days. It seems that we just don’t have enough hours in the day to complete assignments, tasks, and projects at our jobs, school and/or personal life. We have our daily “To Do List” and now with technology we have access to our calendars and reminders but even with all the gadgets, we still can’t manage our time effectively and efficiently.
I really like the following quote from Michael Arlshuler: “The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.”
Ultimately, we still are responsible to manage our time even if time flies. We sometimes become so creative with our list of excuses to justify our time management disappointments rather than finding solutions. So how can we improve our time management?
One of the tips that has helped me with time management is creating a checklist with reasonable tasks that include work and personal life. I make sure I update the list daily by being consistent.
What has helped you improved your time management?
