Western Technical College and its students are seeking community support of a canned food drive to benefit Veterans Non-Profit, a new organization which is dedicated to relief of Veterans hunger and support for mental health conditions such as PTSD. Individuals and companies who wish to participate are invited to drop off donations at one of two Be-A-Hero outdoor summer, carnival style, food truck events. Veterans Non Profit will be on hand to provide information about its services.
For every food item that is brought in, individuals will receive an entry to win a $100 gift card. Food trucks will be on-hand for those who wish to come in on their lunch breaks , all donors can get details for a chance to win a 2015 Ford Mustang, free carnival style games such as dunking booth with KHEY’s Bobcat Brown, live remotes, retro style photo booth, and free snow cones while supplies last.Food items in need by the Veterans Non Profit are pre-packaged meals that do not require refrigeration such as ramen or meals-in-a can (ravioli, stews, soups or items of this nature).

The mission of the Veterans Non Profit is to provide services to veterans in the El Paso area with the level of compassion and dignity that all beings are entitled to current services include a food pantry for veterans, building and maintaining a network with other organizations that serve the same demographic to maximize opportunities for financial or housing assistance and mental health services.
