What is special about Western Technical College is the way in which we will help you achieve your educational goals—a combination of hands-on experience, traditional classroom work, and industry-specific career development. Preparing students for careers in what we do every day.
As a college whose mission is preparing a new student or upgrading an experienced worker to succeed in the modern, high-tech workforce, we believe it important to demonstrate leadership and implement it in all aspects of the learning environment. This idea of teaching leadership both in the classroom and by example is a college-wide objective set by the administration of Western Technical College.
The greatest thing that we offer our students is current and usable knowledge, confidence, and the skills to become a top performer in their field.
–Anthony Turner, MCA Instructor
Our focus is to teach sound technical skills that provide students with the ability to analyze and become problem solvers through the questioning strategies and thinking process we will develop. This focus starts from the top by consistently implementing and training experienced instructors about new technologies in the classroom so that the knowledge is passed down to the student.
Our goal is to provide ongoing, up-to-date instructor development to teach skills to provide insightful and principled leaders for the future and to develop opportunities for students to further their education through new mediums. We are both proud and confident that with the development of our TEAMS (Technology, Education, Attendance, Management, Students) concept, faculty, staff and students will work together to make Western Tech well equipped for the real world.
