This course is approximately 50 percent classroom training and 50 percent hands-on training.
Increasingly, our culture is embracing the benefits of massage therapy. Massage is not only used for relaxation and stress relief, it promotes productivity. In this program, you'll learn to perform Swedish massage, hydrotherapy, advanced massage techniques and spa treatments. As part of your coursework, you'll also learn pathology and business ethics. Students who complete the program are eligible to test for Texas State licensure and national certification. Each state has specific licensing requirements. Check with your admissions representative for more information.
Licensed Massage Therapists can be found in such settings as spas, salons, wellness centers, resorts, cruise ships, health clubs, doctor's offices, chiropractic offices, hospitals and corporations.
