Western Technical College

Both the Junior and Senior PTA class will be participating in health fair titled "Adventure for Your Future". January 21, 2012 from 8am- 1 pm. This event is hosted by Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. The event will host 6th and 7th grade students and their parents.  It's purpose is to increase exposure and build excitement amongst the 6th and 7th grade students about health science. The PTA students will be performing body fat analysis, vestibular testing, and fall risk assessment testing on the students and parents.

It’s been a proud month planning something for our Veterans. Finally, this week WTC introduced the first Veterans Day Luncheon.

It was a day of remembrance, a day when we recall all those who have served their country. Veterans Day is the day when we say “Thank you” to those who have done their duty. Whatever our religious beliefs or practices, we pay public and private tribute to those who have served in the forces.

Western Technical College is hosting two days of Community Career Days for the public at the Main Campus located at 9624 Plaza Circle. The open house events will take place on Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24 at 11:00 a.m. and again at 6:00 p.m. Attendees will learn about the latest training, technology, and career opportunities in the industries of Automotive, Tuner, HVAC and Diesel Technology. The Western Technical College Race Car will be on display. Everyone in attendance will be registered to win an I-pod and refreshments will be served.

Current students are cordially invited to participate in our evening job fair that will be held at Western Technical College.  Realizing that not all employers are actually hiring right now, the intent of this exercise is to provide our students with employer resources and an understanding of how to approach employers, as well as to give them ideas about the diversity of business out there.
