When Your Passion is the Big Rigs

Some people just love the big rigs — being out on the road and having different scenery every day is where it’s at. If that’s your passion, then you’re going to want the Commercial Driver Training Program at Western Technical College.  As a part of the CDT Program, you will also have the opportunity to practice driving a big rig to gain real-world experience while you’re attending the program. Additionally, you will acquire your Commercial Driver’s License before you graduate.

Certificate of Completion

Program Name: Commercial Driver Training

Length: 5 weeks / 1.1 months daytime or 6.5 weeks / 1.5 months evenings

This program is approximately 50 percent classroom training and 50 percent hands-on training.

The Commercial Driver Training Program is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and regulated by Texas Workforce Commission. Students graduating from the program must obtain their Commercial Driver’s License in order to successfully complete the program.
