At Western Technical College, we want you to make an informed decision to attend our school. Many government agencies mandate that colleges provide various types of consumer information to the students, prospective students, and (in some cases) the general public. We take pride in providing you not only the information required by federal and state laws, but also additional useful information and disclosures on various aspects of our school. College Information – All required information about Western Tech can be found in the School Catalog, including information about each of our programs, school policies, department contact information, grading and GPA, student support services, academic programs, course descriptions, etc. We also have valuable information available in the Student Handbook.
Financial Assistance Information – The College’s comprehensive Financial Aid web pages contain a wealth of information to guide you every step of the way to assist you in financing your education. The Financial Aid Home Page a will provide you information about the financial aid programs Western Tech offers, eligibility requirements, how to apply, how aid is disbursed, differences between the federal loan types, your rights and responsibilities of receiving financial aid, etc.
Student Body Diversity – The US Department of Education’s College Navigator website provides information on the diversity of our student body, including the percentage of enrolled, full-time students who are male, female, self-identified members of a major racial or ethnic group and Federal Pell Grant recipients.
GED Resources – Western Tech partners with GED Testing Service to offer online registration, scheduling, and testing at both campuses. Test preparation is also available in Western Tech’s Student Academic Support Center. This program is open to the public and public and not related to enrollment at the college.
Career Services – Western Tech can help you build the skills, knowledge and certifications needed to take the next step in your career. Visit our Career Services web page to assist and support you in these efforts.
Student Services – Student Services support is available to all students at both campuses. These services include resources about child care and housing, co-curricular and volunteer activities, a professional “dress success” closet, and more.
Drug and Alcohol Policies – Our College maintains strict policies against drug and alcohol abuse by our students, faculty and staff. This page also provides links to a wealth of information about illegal drugs, addiction, and local treatment providers.
Campus Security and Crime Awareness Policies / Annual Security Report – Keeping our campuses safe for our students, faculty, staff and visitors is one of our top priorities. Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) – Western Technical College maintains high standards for academic performance, including separate standards for continuing eligibility for federal financial aid. These standards are published in the School Catalog.
