Military FAQs

  1.  Is Western Tech (WT) accredited?  Yes, WT is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) which is listed by the Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

  2.  What if I have to go to the field and have to miss class? WT has a Leave of Absence policy.  For extenuating circumstance such as this, please see your Admissions Representative or campus VA Certifying Official for further guidance.

  3. Will my G.I. Bill pay for the entire cost of my program? In the event that you require further financial assistance, we have a Financial Services Department available to assist each student to understand the financial aid programs, learn their rights and responsibilities, navigate the application processes, and manage all of the paperwork associated with financial aid eligibility.

  4. Do you have a military discount?  Absolutely! WT appreciates those that serve their country and offers a 10% reduction in the current tuition rates for active, reserve, National Guard, honorably discharged Veterans and their immediate family members.

  5. How do I apply for my G.I. Bill or Post 9/11? As in the military, we have your back! Western Tech Veteran’s Affairs Office, located at each campus, can help you complete all required forms and submit all documentation to the VA.
