November 9, 2018

El Paso, Texas (November 2, 2018)- Boy Scouts of all ages, both troops and individuals, are once again invited to Western Tech’s Plaza campus located at 9624 Plaza Circle to share in the excitement of earning their Merit Badge with the help of instructors and staff at Western Tech.

Beginning at 8am on Saturday, November 3, 2018, the Scouts will participate in educational and immersive activities while learning and earning badges in areas such as Crime Prevention, Electronics, Engineering, Space Exploration, Welding, Dog Care, First Aid, Radio, and Automotive Maintenance. “There is no better place to earn merit badges in these areas because this is what we do,” said Brad Kuykendall, CEO.

Western Tech offered a choice of 25 different badges to the Scouts and with more than 240 Scouts attending from the El Paso and surrounding areas, this will be largest group in attendance over the last four years. “Hosting this event gives us the opportunity to give back to the El Paso community and it’s something we look forward to every year,” commented Mary Cano, Campus President.

Western Tech has hosted hundreds of Boy Scouts, who come not only to earn badges but also to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow Scouts and get a snapshot of the real-world learning environment and industry expertise that Western Tech has to offer.
